Workshop Hotel

The main hotel for workshop participants is the La Jolla Cove Suites. A block of rooms has been reserved at this hotel. We provide a shuttle service mornings/evenings between the hotel and the workshop venue. Please note that it is a 10 minute drive (5 miles) from hotel to campus.

Transportation

Airport:

San Diego International (Lindbergh Field, abbreviation: SAN)

From Airport to conference hotel:

Cloud 9 Shuttle, among others (cf. http://www.sandiego.org/gettingaround.asp), provides transportation services from the airport to the hotel; please make your own arrangements with one of these companies.

Hotel to Workshop Venue Shuttle:

We provide shuttle service between hotel and workshop venue. The morning shuttle leaves the hotel at around 7:50 AM. Please get to the shuttle in time. The shuttle will run only once in the morning. In the evenings, the shuttle will go back to the hotel after the workshop resp. after the Thursday dinner.

The shuttle drop-off and pick-up spots will be:

At the hotel: In front of the lobby
On campus: In front of the Calit2 building. Please take the pedestrian underpass through the building into the Engineering Courtyard (you see the Bear), cross the courtyard and enter the CSE building. Follow the signs. Please note that on some maps, the shuttle spot was marked differently before.

In case of need for a taxi, please call YELLOW CAB (619) 234-6161 or SAN DIEGO CAB (619) 226-8294. Have the taxi drop you off on the UCSD campus, close to the corner of VOIGHT DRIVE and EQUALITY LANE (near Warren College and Jacobs School of Engineering) at the raised pedestrian cross-way at the campus shuttle stop. Follow the signs to the registration desk (1 min).
